Choose Your Hogwarts House… Clothing Edition

Ahhhh, Harry Potter. What a wonderful series, written by the talented J.K. Rowling. I don’t know if y’all can tell by now, but I’m sorta in L-O-V-E with it. Now, without further ado, let’s get sorted! Everyone put on your Sorting Hat and let’s begin!

First off, GRYFFINDOR! Their house colors are scarlet and gold. I actually enjoy the pairing of these colors. This house values bravery, chivalry, daring, and nerve. Since the leading trait of this house is bravery, I went for a swashbuckling/ pirate-y look.  First, we have the white, off the shoulder one piece, a red and gold maxi skirt, nude wedges, and some pretty amazing accessories (necklace, earrings, hairpin).

I love the personification of a pirate in this outfit because I’ve always associated them to be brave (well at least the movie ones). While this one isn’t on the nose Gryffindor, it is still a pretty spectacular outfit.

Next up is RAVENCLAW! Their house colors are blue and bronze. I kept this look pretty simple. Ravenclaws value intelligence, knowledge, and wit, so I have a feeling that looking super dolled up isn’t on their mind. With this look, I incorporated a blue blouse, a white skirt, black flats, and a simple bronze necklace.

Also, note me holding the Scottish Edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It was an accidental purchase, but still, a super fun addition to have. My favorite Ravenclaw would have to be Luna Lovegood, even though she is a bit Loony. I feel like this outfit pairs well with her personally.

SLYTHERIN! Their house colors are green and silver. They value cunning, ambition, and resourcefulness. I kept a more everyday chill look approach for this one. Like a too cool to hang out with Muggles, kind of look. A slightly baggy green tee, amazing trousers, sequined boots, and silver accessories (necklace, earrings, bracelet), pair perfectly to pull this look together.

The boots especially give the vibe of being rich like Draco and being able to flaunt it (Just kidding hahaha). Be sure to tuck the shirt into the pants, and if you get a pair that is slim fitting, you could totally fit the leg of the pants into the boots. Keep the accessories simple too since the boots are so glitz and glam.

Last but certainly not least, HUFFLEPUFF! I am a Hufflepuff, which loads of people think is a house for dumb people, but that is far from it! Our house colors are yellow and black. We value hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty. We’re also the house who has no dark wizards. ANYWAY, for this look, I went with a mustard yellow cardigan, a white thick strapped tank top, a black pencil skirt, yellow heels, and a black bow headband.

K.I.S.H (Keep It Simple Hufflepuff). This outfit gives me librarian vibes quite honestly, but I love it. Pairing black and yellow is super fun, especially when you can come out kind of matching bumblebees. All in all this look was super fun to do and style.

Alright, guys! I had so much fun putting these outfits together and making them sort of fit in with the houses. Of course, I will try to link things as much as possible. A lot of the clothing used is either not being sold anymore or something I purchased from the Goodwill. Keep a lookout for the links that will be peppered into this post! Make sure to comment down below what your favorite house is, or what house you’re sorted into! Thanks for reading guys! MISCHIEF MANAGED!
